Testimonials
“The consultancy we received from GVD was second to none. They monitored the whole IT & Communications operation from start to finish from site visits and cable assessments at the K Club, to ensuring the operation ran smoothly during the event week. In a very confusing world, GVD project managed the whole operation to ensure that the Ryder Cup was 100% successful from a telecommunications perspective. The K Club as a green-field site had very little infrastructure and GVD initiated the planning from the start. Having GVD on board took a huge weight off our shoulders and enabled us to concentrate on staging the event. The importance of GVD managing the project cannot be over-emphasised and it saved us months of time and hassle”.
Antonia Beggs, Event Staging Manager, Ryder Cup
“Now that the dust has settled after a memorable Ryder Cup, I felt it was appropriate that I, on behalf of the European Tour Communications Department express our thanks to you and your team for all their commendable efforts. We had over 1000 media personnel in attendance for the week of the Ryder Cup and to my knowledge there was not one complaint about the reliability of the connectivity or level of service provided by the GVD team in our media centre. We were delighted with the consultancy provided by you during the build up to the event and your onsite presence during the event helped us greatly. You delivered reliable connectivity, which in turn made our job easier. A contented media is far more acceptable to us than an unhappy media! The European Tour – our Communications Department in particular- would have no hesitation in recommending GVD and we all look forward to working with you again in the future”
Gordon Simpson, Director of Communications, Ryder Cup
“May I express my sincere thanks for everything that you and your team did for this year’s Nissan Irish Open. From what seemed a great challenge to bring the Irish Open to Baltray only encouraged all those involved in making it a classic event that many people including myself will treasure. So far the best phone system company we have worked with!”
Tom Critchley, Event Staging Co-ordinator, European Tour
“The best Media Centre ever at any world cycling event, including the Tour de France. We look forward to working with you at our next event”
Alan Rushdon, Managing Director, The Events Group.
